Telecom Italia and Telecom Italia Sparkle winners of the 2014 Metro Ethernet Forum Excellence Award Telecom Italia and Telecom Italia Sparkle winners of the 2014 Metro Ethernet Forum Excellence Award

The MEF awarded Telecom Italia and Telecom Italia Sparkle the 2014 Award for Best CE 2.0 Wholesale E-Access Provider EMEA.

A panel of qualified analysts (IDC, Frost & Sullivan, Ovum Infonetics, Vertical Systems, Gartner and the Rayno Report) appointed by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) declared Telecom Italia and Telecom Italia Sparkle winners of the 2014 Award for “Best CE 2.0 Wholesale E-Access Provider EMEA of the year”. 
According to the organization the Award was given as “Telecom Italia and Telecom Italia Sparkle have been a leader and advocate for standardized Carrier Ethernet Access services in the European market. This award recognizes their leadership in providing Certified CE 2.0 E-Access services in Europe and extending these internationally via Telecom Italia Sparkle”.
The prize was awarded on 18 November during the MEF GEN14 conference.
The important recognition of the excellence of Telecom Italia's Ethernet Wholesale services follows on from the MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification obtained in 2013 for the Geographical Ethernet Access (GEA) services, leading Operator in Europe.
The recent MEF CE 2.0 certification of Telecom Italia Sparkle, obtained in the summer of 2014, places the TI group in a position to offer national and international certified MEF CE 2.0 services.
